In recent dealings with consumers in the most recent hail storm, we have discovered that there are many insurance agents breaking the law, by telling a consumer that they have to use their recommended contractor.  The Colorado Revised Statutes are very specific about what insurance companies may and may not do in reference to repair contractors.  It is specifically stated that the insurance company is required to let the claimant know that they may choose ANY repair business.
